Good and sweet pit bulls in the project “Flower Power”

Photographer Sophie Gamand, who created a series of photos of “Flower Power”, initially was wary of pit bull terriers. But in animal shelters, she often encountered this breed. Sophie reflected on why these dogs repel so many people. “Are they really bloodthirsty monsters?” Or just a dog with a bad reputation? “

“I decided to photograph them in a completely unexpected way to see if the new look could change our perception of these animals and, consequently, how we treat them.”

Photographer uses the ephemeral flowers as a symbol of the fragility of life of these dogs.

Sophie Gamand is determined to destroy the aggressive stereotype associated with this breed of dogs, and change the social attitude to them.
